I'm Ben Miller, I play other people’s music and so far haven't got round to making any of my own. I’m drawn to music from urban areas going through change - Croydon, Glasgow, Berlin and Detroit. There's an energy which grabs me every time.
A pivotal night growing up was a Mangled night at Sound Academy in Ipswich, with Mr C headlining. Ever since, underground house and techno turned out to be home, and I spent the next however-many years at The End, Fabric, Wiggle, Swag and Kerfuffle parties, hoovering up late-night grooves… and more.
In 2000, with my friends Rob and Leigh, we started noodlearm. We threw parties in Ipswich, Colchester and London for years and as you could tell from our early flyers we never took ourselves seriously! bAD SHERPA comes from a willingness to take a set somewhere unexpected, but mostly from years of confidently leading people towards a London afterparty that turned out not to exist. It’s the journey that matters… right?
